This elegant pincushion pairs a Kutani ware with a flower-shaped cushion. Kutani ware, a traditional pottery from Ishikawa prefecture with a 360-year history, is known for its vivid overglaze paintings in five classic colors — red, blue, yellow, purple, and dark blue. This pincushion, though small, beautifully highlights the charm of Kutani’s diverse painting styles. The pincushion is made from Noto Futakoshi Chirimen, a traditional crepe fabric with a unique texture, carefully hand-threaded for a refined finish.
